✨ What's New: Hourly Billing
We know that for freelancers, consultants, and service-based businesses, time is quite literally money. That's why TrulySmall Accounting now lets you set up services billed by the hour, day, week, or month without the need for clunky external timesheets.
Bill Services by Time When you add a new good or service, you can now choose exactly how it's billed: per item, or by the hour, day, week, or month. Your prices will now read the way you actually quote them to clients, such as "$95.00 / hr".
Invoice Directly in Hours When you pick a service on an invoice or bill, the line item now speaks your language. It will display quantities in time, like "2.5 hrs" at "$95.00/hr". If you type "1:30" into the quantity field, we'll automatically read it as an hour and a half.
Invoices Your Clients Can Read at a Glance Your invoice PDF will now show an "Hours" column instead of a generic "Quantity" column, along with the specific rate per hour and a "Total" row at the bottom. To make things even clearer, each service name is printed in bold with your custom description underneath.
New Billed Time Report The new Billed Time report lets you see exactly how much time you've billed. You can break this data down by client, project, or service. The report also highlights your average hourly rate and shows you how it compares to your usual list rate. (Available on Standard and Pro plans)
✨ What's New: CSV Bank Statement Imports
Not every bank connects to a live feed, and sometimes your financial history lives in a spreadsheet. To make importing your data as seamless as possible, you can now upload a CSV bank or credit card statement into TrulySmall Accounting, right alongside your QBO, QFX, and OFX files.
Upload Your Bank's CSV Simply drop a .csv file into your Inbox, or upload it directly from an account page. We automatically work out the columns for you, mapping out the date, description, amount, balance, merchant, and card number.
Check Before You Import You can now see your first rows exactly as they'll come in, with withdrawals highlighted in red and deposits in green. You can easily change what a column means, pick a new date format, or flip the signs with a single click.
The Right Account, With No Duplicates We automatically match the uploaded file to the account you imported it into last time, or by its card number. Uploading an overlapping file won't create duplicate entries, and if the running balance ever fails to add up, we'll show you the exact row that's off before anything gets imported.
Remembered for Next Time We save each specific file layout for your business. This means the next statement you upload from the same bank will skip the column check entirely and go directly to import, saving you valuable time.
