What is TrulySmall Invoices?
TrulySmall Invoices is an invoicing app that's available on iOS, Android, and as a Web app. With TrulySmall, small businesses, micro-businesses, and solopreneurs can use the right tools right at the start of their entrepreneurial journey—right when they need it the most.
Knowing how to create an invoice is one thing. But let's be honest: knowing what details to include in it and finding time in your busy workday to create, add details, proofread, and send them is a part-time job in itself!
That's why the team at TrulySmall created TrulySmall Invoices in the first place—to help you sit back and actually enjoy the whole process. Keep reading to find out the key features of TrulySmall Invoices.
Create and send Invoices
In TrulySmall, small business owners can create and send invoices to clients in seconds. Simply click the green + New Invoice button to create your invoice and a new invoice template will open for you to fill in your details. Everything that invoices should comprise is included for you to fill, including an invoice number, date created, invoice due date, your business details client contact details, and invoice items and descriptions.
TrulySmall Invoices also lets you upload your business logo to stay on-brand. You can use the Extra Notes section at the bottom to add anything important that your client should know about each invoice.
You can view your subtotal, add sales tax (if applicable), and update the currency to suit your business and region needs before you hit send!
Create and send Estimates
With TrulySmall Invoices, you can also send estimates to anyone in seconds. Simply go to the Home Screen and click on Estimates.
Sending an Estimate is an easy 3 steps process:
1. Fill out a simple form.
2. Client receives an “Email” with the estimate that has a link to the “Accept” button.
3. Get notified of the acceptance, complete the job.
Once the job is completed, simply click on the “accepted estimate” to generate an invoice and get paid. Other features include:
In-app status updates of the estimate [ Sent, Viewed, Accepted, Expired]
Edit a sent or viewed estimate if your client requests any changes offline and re-send the estimate with all the client's details auto-populated
Invoice management: Save drafts, preview, and set reminders
Need to fact-check your rate or a minor detail in your invoice? Got pulled away last-minute mid-invoice? Not to worry.
Save drafts of invoices
Before you hit review & send, you can save your invoice draft by clicking the drop-down menu and clicking Save Draft. Revisit your draft invoice(s) under Drafts on the homepage once you're ready to finish and send to your client.
Preview invoices
You can preview each invoice before you send it. TrulySmall Invoices lets you review it in its final form so that you can see it from the perspective of your client. Use this last step to review invoice due date, contact information, and line items and rates before you Confirm & Send.
Automatic reminder for invoices
There's nothing worse than forgetting about an invoice that you sent and letting it become overdue! Sometimes all your clients need is a reminder that it's still unpaid. TrulySmall automatically sends your client a reminder that the invoice you sent is still unpaid. This will occur 2 days before the due date and 2 days after the due date. No more forgetting about your invoices!
Void an Invoice or Estimate
You can void any invoice that has not yet been paid. Likewise, any estimate can be voided.
Here is some additional information to keep in mind:
Invoices that have already been paid cannot be voided
Voided invoices cannot be converted to paid (manually or via Stripe)
Both the sender and recipient will receive an email notification when an invoice has been voided
The Invoice PDF (included in the email link) will include a voided status date and void watermark
Estimates can be voided from any status (viewed, accepted, expired)
Recipients of an expired estimate will not be notified
Dark mode vs. Light mode
TrulySmall is available in Dark Mode if you prefer that option. The app's default is Light Mode, and you can easily swap between the two by going to the menu. It's an easy toggle-switch and you can use it based on what your eyesight is accustomed to.
